Why obedience training is so important?

Some people see dog obedience training as cruel, as if it will take away their dog’s spirit. However, true obedience training allows you to communicate with your dog to build a relationship of trust and respect. Good trainers use commands to bring out the best in their dogs. Far from being a barbaric tool, training bridges the gap between human and canine allowing you to be closer to your pet.

Here are just a few reasons why you should train your dog:

It keeps your dog active physically and mentally
Dogs need stimulation to stay healthy and alert into old age, just like people. No matter how old your dog is, it’s never too late to teach him a few tricks to add some spice to his life.

Beginner Obedience

Prerequisite: dog 6 months or older

Class tools: Flat collar, 5-6ft leash, Slip lead

Duration: 1 hour

Commands: Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Loose Leash Walking, Out/Get It/Leave it

Prerequisite: completion of puppy or beginner obedience, evaluation recommendation

Duration: 1 hour

Advanced Obedience

$850 (5 sessions)

Prerequisite: Intermediate or Test out

Duration: 1 hour

Class tools: leash, long leash, e-collar

a la carte/ Add-ons

Housebreaking - Easy-to-follow housebreaking instructions taught by zoom or in-home to correct issues in your daily routine that may be making housebreaking complicated for your dog. Introduces the concepts, theories & pattern associated with housebreaking. Following this program will have your dog on a good pattern within a week. ($150)

Evaluation - This is a consultation designed to discuss issues, introduce trainers to family, show dog behaviors or to have important questions answered in real time. An evaluation is mandatory for dogs that shows or has shown aggression. (50% off if immediately followed by "Task Specific Session" or Package) ($150)

Zoom Consulting - Zoom consulting session that will all our pros to evaluation you dog/puppy, discuss training issues, apply proven techniques and solutions to will have you training your dog like a pro under our guidance. ($100)

Task Specific Training - Designed for customers looking for assistance with single tasks. Tasks are completed in approximately 2 sessions following of training techniques. Intro Session required prior to task specific training for new customers. ($175)

Add-on Session - Need more time with a trainer? Need a second training session in a week? Want to add a session or two to your training package? ($100)

Travel Fee - This fee is for any in-home service where the road mileage is greater than 20miles from zip code 20902 ($25)

14Day Board & Train - Accelerate your dog's learning with a "live-in" board & training. Your dog lives with a trainer to maximize the training experience. From mourning to night, your dog with will have a family training environment. (2wk-$2500/1wk-$1500)
